FAQ

Order Request:
Items requested during check-out are submitted to A-1 Amusement and Party Rental, Inc. as a request.  Upon receipt, an Event Specialist will review the request and confirm the availability of the requested item(s).  After review, an Event Specialist will reach out to the customer to review pricing, availability and event details.  During this conversation, or any time after, the customer can choose to make a contract to reserve items for the specified event date.  Any items sent in via online request are not reserved until contact is made with an Event Specialist and a contract is created.  Once the contract is signed and the 50% non-refundable deposit is received, the contract is guaranteed.

Digital Communication:
• A-1 Amusement & Party Rental, Inc. utilizes digital communication (email, text) to share information regarding online coupons, online requests and/or upcoming rentals.
• Emails and texts may be sent manually from an Event Specialist or automated from an application.
• A-1 Amusement & Party Rental utilizes an application to send and receive manual and automated text messages and emails.  The phone number associated with this application is (513) 586-6464.  Messages sent to this number are received and responded to by Event Specialists.  Phone calls to this number are forwarded to the office and are answered by Event Specialists.  This phone number/application is only monitored during business hours, Monday-Friday 9AM – 5PM.
• Automated messages may be sent regarding, but not limited to: online coupon submission, upcoming delivery or customer pick-up details, event follow-up or future rentals
• Phone numbers contacted via the application are not shared with third party marketers and are only used by A-1 Amusement & Party Rental, Inc. staff.
• By clicking submit on the coupon submission and/or signing a contract,  the customer agrees to the privacy policy and terms and conditions and gives express written consent to be contacted via text and phone call, even if the number is a wireless number or if it is presently listed on a Do Not Call list. The customer understands that he/she may be contacted by telephone, email, text message or mail regarding marketing services and that he/she may be called using automatic dialing equipment. He/she understands that he/she can reply STOP to STOP communications at any time. Message and data rates may apply. The consent does not require purchase.

Insurance and Licensing:
• In accordance with state regulations, A-1 Amusement and Party Rental, Inc. maintains proper insurance, safety inspections and licenses.
• To ensure that all State regulations are followed, all inflatable rides and attractions will be set up by A-1 Amusement & Party Rental, Inc. personnel.

Waivers/Indemnification:
Beginning July, 2023, Amusement Rental Industry Insurance requires that all riders, regardless of age, must have a completed release of liability, waiver of claims, express assumption of risk and indemnity agreement to participate in any of the following: Mechanical Bull, Mechanical Football. Each item requires its own waiver and is only valid for that particular event.

Attendant / Operator / Supervisor:
• If you choose to provide your own attendants/operators, they must be present at the time of delivery to receive proper training (there is no fee for this). The attendants must be at least 16 years of age (as required by state regulations).
• Attendant/Operator:  Need help running your event?  Our trained and knowledgeable staff are available to operate your rental items.  Rate: $60.00 per hour (4 hour minimum).
• Supervisor:  Have enough volunteers to operate your rental items, but want someone on site for additional supervision?  A trained supervisor is available to oversee your event and answer any questions that may arise.  Rate: $60.00 per hour (4 hour minimum).

Delivery:
• All deliveries include: 100% on-time delivery by a professional delivery crew (DOT qualified, trained and uniformed), set-up and break-down of equipment, equipment inspection, operating and safety instructions (verbal and written), product demonstrations, proper state licensing and permits (if applicable), product liability insurance, workers compensation insurance, commercial vehicle insurance and NO CUSTOMER CLEAN-UP OF ANY EQUIPMENT REQUIRED.
• In order to qualify for delivery, a contract must have a minimum rental of $150.  This does not include sales, labor or delivery.
• Delivery rates vary depending on the size of the order, the distance to be traveled and the flexibility allowed for delivery and pickup.
• Normal delivery area includes all of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
• Flexible Delivery: A-1 Amusement & Party Rental has the flexibility to deliver and pickup at our convenience, which may include the possibility of delivery and setup the day before your event and pick up the day after your event.
• Non-Flexible Delivery: Any delivery that does not fit the flexible delivery criteria.
• Contract must be paid in full by the last business day before delivery.

Customer Pick-up:
• A valid photo ID is required by all customers picking up equipment.
• Customers may pick up equipment Monday through Friday 9:00AM – 4:00PM. The warehouse closes promptly at 4:00PM.  The warehouse is closed on weekends.
• Contract must be paid in full before customer can pick-up equipment.
• Items available for pick-up will have “$$$ PICK UP & SAVE $$$” in the item description below the item picture.
• Customer is responsible for having the proper vehicle to pick-up equipment.
• A 2″ tow ball is required for all Dunk Tank and Arrow Sign pick-ups.  Dunk Tank pick-up will also require a 4-prong flat trailer brake light connection.
• Note: Licensed Inflatables cannot be picked-up. See Insurance and Licensing above for more information.

Electric:
• It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure there is sufficient electric at the job or event site.
• 3000 kw Generator (equal to (1) 110v 20 amp circuit) – Rental Rate: $75.00 each

Requirements to Guarantee your Order:
• 50% Non-refundable Deposit (Credit Card, Check, or Cash Accepted)
• Credit Card (on file)
• Signed Contract

Payment:
• Payment forms accepted: Credit Card, Check or Cash
• PO and Charge Accounts are accepted on a pre-approved basis and must have a credit card on file
• All contracts must have a credit card on file
• All major credit cards are accepted
• A 3% processing fee will be applied to all credit card and debit card charges

Inclement Weather:
Once a signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit are received, the contract is guaranteed.  A-1 Amusement and Party Rental, Inc. will deliver, rain or shine.  In the event of inclement weather, the customer has a number of options:
• If it’s more than 48 hours prior to the event day, the customer can reschedule only if the customer has opted in to the Event Protection Plan.  See more information on Event Protection Plan below.
• If the event is outside, but there is an inside option, the items can be set-up inside for use.  If the items ordered won’t fit in the inside space, A-1 Amusement and Party Rental, Inc. will make every effort to accommodate item changes that will work with the space, pending availability and at least 48 hours’ notice.
• If there is rain during the event, most of the inflatables can continue to be used in a light rain.  If there is heavy rain, the customer will need to discontinue use.  Once the rain has stopped, the customer can use a leaf blower and/or towels to dry off the jumping/playing surfaces.  Generally, the inflatables can be back to use in less than 10 minutes.

Cancellation:
In the event that the customer needs to cancel after the contract is signed and 50% non-refundable deposit (also including PO & Charge Account) is received up until 48 hours prior to the day of rental; the customer forfeits the 50% non-refundable deposit.  If cancellation occurs 48 hours or less prior to the day of rental; the customer forfeits 100% of the contract.  If you are calling after hours regarding cancellation, please call our 24-hour emergency number, found at #4, #12 or #13 on the rental agreement contract.

Reschedule:
In the event that the customer needs to reschedule after the contract is signed and 50% non-refundable deposit (also including PO or Charge Account) is received; RESCHEDULING CAN ONLY OCCUR IF THE CUSTOMER HAS OPTED IN TO THE EVENT PROTECTION PLAN (see Event Protection Plan below for more information).  If notice has been given at least 48 hours prior to the day of rental, the customer can reschedule to any date within 365 days of the original contract date, pending approval.  All reschedules require approval by A-1 Amusement and Party Rental, Inc. and will be dependent on rental item(s) and delivery/customer-pickup availability. This may be done only once. If notice occurs 48 hours or less prior to the day of rental, the customer cannot reschedule and forfeits 100% of the contract.  If you are calling after hours regarding cancellation, please call our 24-hour emergency number, found at #4, #12 or #13 on the rental agreement contract.

Event Protection Plan:
The optional Event Protection Plan is available for all customers to add to their contract, which will allow for 1 reschedule, for any reason, within 365 days of the original contract date.
• The Event Protection Plan is 10% of the contract total, before sales tax.
• If a customer decides to add the Event Protection Plan after their contract is signed, they can do so up until 2 weeks prior to the event day at 20% of the contract total, before sales tax.
• If a contract is written within 2 weeks of the event date, the Event Protection Plan can only be added before the contract is signed.  This is added at the regular rate of 10% of the contract total, before sales tax.
• The customer must notify A-1 Amusement and Party Rental, Inc. of the reschedule at least 48 hours before the day of rental.
• All reschedules require approval by A-1 Amusement and Party Rental, Inc. and will be dependent on rental item(s) and delivery/customer-pickup availability.
• If notice occurs 48 hours or less prior to the day of rental, even with the Event Protection Plan, the customer forfeits 100% of the contract.

If you are calling after hours, and have a problem, please call our 24 hour emergency number, found at #4, #12 and #13 on the rental agreement contract or the upper right-hand corner of equipment rules.

The Way We Use Information:
We use the information you provide about yourself only to contact you with more information. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete an order.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Our Commitment To Data Security:
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Our Commitment To Children’s Privacy:
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13.

You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a request that credibly shows error. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
